Service Types / Levels of Care
These describe how treatment services are delivered. People may move between levels of care depending on their needs.
- Alumni Programs: Ongoing support, meetings, and recovery activities for individuals who have completed a treatment program.
- Detoxification (Detox): Short-term medical supervision that helps people safely manage withdrawal symptoms from alcohol or drugs. Detox is usually the first step and is not a stand-alone treatment.
- Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): A higher level of outpatient care that includes multiple therapy sessions per week and more structured support.
- Outpatient Treatment: Structured therapy sessions provided while individuals live at home, allowing them to continue work, school, and family responsibilities.
- Residential / Inpatient Treatment: A 24-hour live-in treatment setting that provides intensive therapy, structure, and support in a substance-free environment.
- Therapeutic Community (TC): A long-term residential treatment model where residents and staff work together to promote behavioral change, accountability, and recovery through structured community living.
- Telehealth: Treatment and therapy delivered remotely through secure technology, allowing appointments by phone, tablet, or computer.
